Palmetto Orthotics and Prosthetics: A Family Legacy of Excellence

April 23, 2025

In the heart of Summerville, a new prosthetics and orthotics center, Palmetto Orthotics and Prosthetics, is set to open its doors in August 2024. A family-run business, Palmetto Orthotics and Prosthetics is the culmination of decades of expertise and compassionate care, bringing together multiple generations to set a new standard of excellence in their field.

The story of Palmetto Orthotics and Prosthetics is rooted in legacy caregivers. A dedicated mother and father, Shelley and David Perkins, spent their lives building and operating a successful orthotics and prosthetics business. Through their hard work, they not only served their community but also mentored and inspired their children, Heidi Collins and Andrew Perkins. Growing up immersed in the world of prosthetics and orthotics, Heidi and Andrew joined forces with their parents to open their own center.

Combining generations of experience and innovation, their commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of their practice.
